Ask whether the policy addresses charging equipment, roadside service and a replacement vehicle in circumstances that matter to you.
Keep the quote comparison fair
Use identical drivers, address, limits, deductibles and annual distance for an EV and the alternative car. Ask about discounts only if you qualify and examine the full-year price after any promotion. Our EV selector uses a broad editorial multiplier, not live model quotes.
Compare two exact vehicles
If choosing between an EV and a gasoline model, submit each exact trim to the same insurers with the same drivers and deductible. Ask about battery-related damage, charging equipment and repair facilities where relevant. A broad electric category cannot tell you the cost for a particular model in your postal code.
